摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating element that has high mechanical strength and an energization heating property, and can be sufficiently used as a resistant heating element. <P>SOLUTION: To obtain a heating element 1, a sintered raw material mixture 7 formed by mixing metallic aluminum powder 2, carbon powder 3 not molten at a temperature lower than a melting point of the aluminum 2, inorganic oxide material powder 4 containing at least one kind of alumina and silica, complex oxide of alumina and silica, and aluminum silicate, an organic compound 5, and water and/or a binder 6 is molded under pressure, and sintered at a temperature higher than the melting point of the aluminum 2, so as to form a porous material mainly composed of metallic aluminum (Al), metal silicon (Si), alumina (Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>), silica (SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>), and complex oxide of alumina and silica or complex oxide of aluminum oxide and silicon oxide and having a cavity in a range of 5%-50%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
