<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine restarter capable of reducing a sense of incongruity, and capable of improving fuel efficiency, caused by engine restarting when starting on a downward slope. <P>SOLUTION: Reduction in the sense of incongruity and an improvement in the fuel efficiency caused by the engine restarting when starting on the downward slope when a vehicle accelerates by gravity, become possible by restarting an engine when a travel speed is a preset threshold value or more when a pitch state of a road surface is downward. Further reduction in the sense of incongruity and a further improvement in the fuel efficiency also become passible by restarting the engine when the travel speed is the preset threshold value or more when a downward inclination of the road surface is the preset threshold value or more. The sense of incongruity when starting on the downward slope when the travel speed hardly increases even on the downward slope, can be reduced by restarting the engine when a brake release elapsed time is the preset threshold value or more after releasing a brake in an engine stopping state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
