<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power amplifier that can switch between a high power mode and a low power mode in accordance with output power and can compensate manufacturing variations of FETs in both modes. <P>SOLUTION: In the power amplifier, switching a circuit state between a high power mode and a low power mode switches a reference voltage supplied to a bias circuit section to compensate variations of transistors. In the low power mode, a supply voltage is controlled to a half of the reference voltage, and in the high power mode, the value of a resistance for transmitting the reference voltage to the bias circuit section is controlled to control an idle current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
