<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED illumination unit, whose basic configuration is a substrate formed of a transparent member and a light emitting device, capable of illuminating with uniform brightness in almost all directions without being biased in a particular direction. <P>SOLUTION: The LED illumination unit comprises: a transparent substrate 12 having a plurality of element mounting surfaces; LED chips 13 and 14 disposed respectively on at least two element mounting surfaces of the transparent substrate 12; and electrode terminals 15 and 16 disposed on the transparent substrate 12 and electrically connected to the LED chips 13 and 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
