<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a cylinder block of a hydraulic rotating machine that achieves a normal sliding state between a cylinder block and a sliding member and maintains a stable sliding state therebetween, and the hydraulic rotating machine. <P>SOLUTION: The hydraulic rotating machine includes: a rotary shaft 9; a cylinder block 1 that rotates along with the rotation of the rotary shaft 9 and is formed of spherical graphite cast iron; and a piston 2 that is brought into sliding contact with the sliding surface of a cylinder 3 of the cylinder block 1. When manufacturing the cylinder block 1 of the hydraulic rotating machine, prescribed surface treatment is applied to a prescribed portion of a cylinder block blank 1A. The prescribed surface treatment includes: a severe plastic deformation process in which burnishing is performed on the prescribed portion of the cylinder block blank 1A to form a plastic-deformation zone layer 30 thereon; a heat treatment process in which nitriding heat treatment is performed on the plastic-deformation zone layer 30, formed by the burnishing in the severe plastic deformation process, to form a nitrogen compound layer 27 thereon; and a removing process for removing the nitrogen compound layer 27 formed by the nitriding heat treatment in the heat treatment process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
