<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the increase of connection loss even in a use condition of frequent attachment/detachment and to eliminate the need of cleaning, by suppressing the occurrence of abrasion powder when inserting and fitting a guide pin to a guide hole. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical connector, end surfaces 11a of a pair of ferrules 11 holding a plurality of optical fibers 15 are positioned by two guide pins 14 and are butted against each other to connect optical fibers 15 held by the pair of ferrules 11 to each other. The optical connector includes an urging member for pressing the end surfaces 11a to each other, and the end surfaces 11a are subjected to beveling, and a clearance between a guide hole 12 opened to the end surface 11a, to which each guide pin 14 is to be fitted, and the guide pin 14 is larger than 0.004 mm and is equal to or smaller than 0.008 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
