<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate a processing speed during random access even after data addition. <P>SOLUTION: When a plurality of clusters are recorded in a prescribed recording medium and a FAT comprising link information of the plurality of clusters is recorded by a FAT file system, a cluster link cache 51 caches a cache link configured by arranging entries composed of information including the link information extracted from the FAT for the respective clusters at a prescribed interval. When data is added to the cluster on the recording medium and the cache link is to be updated, a link information update part updates information for the entry of an update object among the plurality of entries constituting the cache link. A structure conversion part cuts off the updated entry of the update object from the original position of the cache link and connects it to the tail end of the cache link.
