<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backing paper for wallpaper, hardly causing fluffing at coating of a polyvinyl chloride paste or the like, or at a drying step after that, and hardly causing mesh-opening after application of the wallpaper. <P>SOLUTION: The backing paper for the wallpaper contains a pulp fiber and 5 to 25 mass% of a synthetic fiber having a polar group. A fiber length of the synthetic fiber is 1 mm or longer and 4 mm or shorter. In addition, the backing paper further preferably contains calcined clay as a filler. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
