<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder equipped with a "lift" detecting means of high reliability uninfluenced by paper dust, external light, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The paper feeder includes a paper feeding tray on which a plurality of sheets of paper are stacked; a paper feed roller provided forward in the paper feeding direction of the paper feeding tray to feed the stacked paper to the inside; and a lift detecting sensor provided at the side in the width direction of a paper bundle and in a backward position in the paper feeding direction from the center of the paper bundle to detect, using a movable lever, the lift of the paper bundle that occurs when the paper bundle bound at the side or at the rear in the paper feeding direction is fed in by the paper feed roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
