<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client server system and a client device in the system capable of effectively preventing performance degradation of a whole system due to repeated execution of image conversion processing for a print file on a server device side, when performing print setting by a web application. <P>SOLUTION: A server 2 stores a print setting program D which is a rich Internet application comprising image edition means D6 for generating image data (image data after change) to which a change instruction issued when print setting by a web application A is performed is reflected.
