<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system for enabling even a client device including no printer driver to simply and quickly select a printer optimum to printing processing to be executed and to make the printer execute printing processing, a server device, a printing method, a computer program and a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A printing system 1 includes a PC 10 for transmitting original data, a plurality of printers 31 to 36 for directly printing the original data transmitted from the PC 10, and a server 20. The PC 10 includes a printer information requesting part 105 for requesting information relating to the printers to the server 20. The server 20 includes a printer information notifying part 206 for notifying the PC 10 of information relating to available printers among the plurality of printers 31 to 36 in response to the request from the PC 10.
