<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and the like that can restrain communication delay occurring in the case where a powerless radio terminal is used. <P>SOLUTION: An edge router 12 notifies a radio terminal 11 of a hop limit by transmitting a router advertisement to the radio terminal 11. The radio terminal 11 stores the notified hop limit in the hop limit field of an IPv6 packet. The edge router 12 stores the maximum hop number in a user home system 1 and the maximum hop number in an IP network NW, and if it has received a communication packet transmitted from the user home system 1 to the IP network NW, it sets the hop limit in the communication packet to the maximum hop number in the IP network NW, and if it has received a communication packet transmitted from the IP network NW to the user home system 1, it sets the hop limit in the communication packet to the maximum hop number in the user home system 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
