<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an offshore breakwater which is stable not only against wind and waves but also highly stable against tsunami. <P>SOLUTION: An offshore breakwater 1 is constructed by piling up many wave-extinguishing blocks 3 on a sea bottom G or on a foundation mount 2 formed on the seat bottom G so as to form slope surfaces 4a, 4b respectively on an offshore side and on a shore side. The wave-extinguishing block 3a arranged at a shore side slope toe part is fixed so as not to move to the shore side by fixing means, and foot protection blocks 6 and steel pipe piles 5 are used as the fixing means. The foot protection blocks 6 are arranged respectively closely on the shore side of the respective wave-extinguishing blocks 3a at the shore side slope toe part, and the steel pipe piles 5 are arranged respectively closely on the shore side of the foot protection blocks 6 in the state of burying a lower part to the sea bottom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
