<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress erroneous classification when data is classified into any one of a plurality of ranges. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes a multi-stage determining unit including determinators each of which functions as a node of an N-level tree structure (N is an integer equal to or greater than 2) in order to perform determination for classifying a determination target into at least one of a plurality of ranges. Each determinator performs determination of classifying the determination target into any one of two ranges, and the two ranges determined in each determinator include an overlapping portion.
