<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic storage for a drug development sample unit protecting a housed drug development sample unit, while securing a frontage, preventing an adjustment burden of a frontage width, increase in the number of parts, and a work burden, improving a storage density, and preventing a drive mechanism from getting complex. <P>SOLUTION: In the automatic storage 100 for a drug development sample unit, the a cam plate 130 which has a plurality of cam grooves 131A or the like formed to a plate main face 130S is disposed so that the plate main face 130S thereof is opposed to a rack bottom surface 122A or the like. A cam plate driving actuator 140 is connected to the cam plate 130. A mechanism 150 for taking in/out the drug development sample unit is arranged to sides of drug development sample unit storage racks 120A or the like.
