<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition capable of improving fuel efficiency, steering stability, ride quality and workability in a balanced manner, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire has a sidewall composed of a rubber composition containing: butadiene rubber including 1,2-syndiotactic polybutadiene crystal, terminal-modified butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber and resin, wherein, based on 100 mass% of the rubber composition, the content of the butadiene rubber including 1,2-syndiotactic polybutadiene crystal is 10-60 mass%, the content of the terminal modified butadiene rubber is 7-60 mass%, and the content of the isoprene rubber is 20-70 mass%. In the sidewall, the ratio (E*a/E*b) of complex modulus E*a in tire circumferential direction to complex modulus E*b in tire radial direction, which is measured at a temperature of 70°C and a dynamic distortion of 2%, is preferably 1.03-2.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
