<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of processing accuracy of a workpiece caused by heat from a bearing for receiving a work table while preventing degradation of operation efficiency, in a vertical lathe. <P>SOLUTION: A rotating device 2 of this vertical lathe includes a bearing cooling device 32 for cooling a bearing 26, and a support base cooling device 34 for cooling a support base 24 by oil, wherein the support base 24 is formed with an annular lower mounting part 24a coupled to a lower ring 26b of the bearing 26, an inner storage groove 24b arranged along an inner peripheral surface of the lower mounting part 24a for storing cooling oil, and an outer storage groove 24c arranged along an outer peripheral surface of the lower mounting part 24a for storing the cooling oil; and the support base cooling device 34 includes an inner storage groove discharge nozzle 34c for discharging the oil so that the cooling oil circumferentially flows in the inner storage groove 24b, and an outer storage groove discharge nozzle 34f for discharging the oil so that the cooling oil circumferentially flows in the outer storage groove 24c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
