<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin selector including a thread suspension preventing device capable of preventing fraudulent counting by a coin suspended by thread. <P>SOLUTION: A true coin TC supplied to a coin entrance 108 is held by a pair of pawls of a cradle, is moved in a transverse direction by turning of the cradle, and falls onto a guide rail. The fallen true coin rolls on the guide rail, then falls down from the guide rail, and collides with an upward slope of an anvil at a prescribed speed. The true coin which has collided bounces back to reach a receiving path, passes through a cotton checker, falls down from a true coin port 144, and is then detected by a count sensor 242. When a true coin suspended by thread is pulled up, it gets in between coils of a coil spring 124 at a guide rail end and is held between them by close contact force of the coils. Since the coin suspended by the thread cannot be moved vertically due to holding force of the coils, it is impossible to make the count sensor perform fraudulent detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
