PACKET SWITCH AND PACKET SCHEDULING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a calculation amount while keeping high packet-transmission performance.

SOLUTION: A packet switch comprises: a packet arrival monitoring part 10 for monitoring the number of arriving packets at input ports 21to 2N; and a number-of-processing-times determination part 12 which determines the number of times of the packet transmission determination by a scheduler 6 on the basis of the number of arriving packets monitored by the packet arrival monitoring part 10. The scheduler 6 performs the packet transmission determination as many times as the number of times determined by the number-of-processing-times determination part 12.
