<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector for a circuit board, capable of avoiding a vertical size of the connector from increasing and surely preventing connectors from being unexpectedly came off each other by securing sufficient vertical dimension of a locking part to impart strength, and to provide an electric connector assembly. <P>SOLUTION: The electric connector includes: a housing 10 having a bottom wall 13 facing a circuit board, and a plurality of terminals 20 arranged and held on the housing 10 corresponding to a plurality of mating terminals of a mating connector 2. The housing 10 has cable housing parts 17, which houses cables C with the connector in a fitted state at a position corresponding to each cable C of the mating connector 2 in an arrangement direction of the terminals 20, close to a rear end of the bottom wall 13, and also has a rear locking part 15 at a position between the cable housing parts 17. The rear locking part 15 is vertically lockable to a rear locked part 45A formed close to a rear end of the mating connector 2 with the connector in the fitted state between the cables C of the mating connector 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
