<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element position detector capable of detecting the position of an optical element with high accuracy by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: An optical element position detector comprises: a multipolar magnet that generates a sine-waveform magnetic flux and moves integrally with an optical element in a direction of an optical axis of the optical element; a first detection part that detects two kinds of sine-waveform signals having a predetermined phase difference from the sine-waveform magnetic flux generated by the multipolar magnet; a second detection part that divides the movement range of the multipolar magnet into n areas (n is an integer equal to 2 or larger) and detects a divided area where the multipolar magnet is present; and a conversion part that, from the two kinds of sine-waveform signals detected by the first detection part, calculates a periodic position signal that varies at a constant cycle corresponding to the movement of the optical element, and on the basis of the divided area detected by the second detection part, converts the periodic position signal into a continuous position signal that varies continuously corresponding to the movement of the optical element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
