<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-layered heel designed for use of favorite shoes over a long period of time, wherein the worn heel can be turned and set in any direction to prevent wear concentration and to allow easy replacement of its parts. <P>SOLUTION: The double-layered heel includes an upper layer (1), a lower layer (2), and a pair of large umbrella wheel (3) and small umbrella wheel (4) of different sizes which are positioned in a hollow part of the upper layer of the heel and engaged with each other with their shafts crossed at a right angle. A female screw is formed in the vertical shaft of the large umbrella wheel (3) and is engaged with a male screw (7) fixed on the lower layer (2) with its head buried underneath. To facilitate an operation of connecting or disconnecting the upper layer (1) to or from the lower layer (2) at the perimeter of the upper layer (1), the upper layer (1) is provided with a horizontal through hole through which the head having a screw hole of the small umbrella wheel (4) is inserted. At the joining surfaces of the upper layer (1) and the lower layer (2), an inner shape in contact is a surface of a quadrangular prism, while the outer portions are formed in a shape of a column. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
