<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio receiver capable of preventing degradation in receiver sensitivity due to band interference filter insertion and degradation in a reception state due to a carrier squelch's control to be ineffective (squelch open) and a squelch malfunction due to band interference filter bypass. <P>SOLUTION: The radio receiver includes a band interference filter 3 that suppresses adjacent interference waves and a squelch control section 5 that implements squelch open control.
