<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual simple type platform door for a railroad, capable of preventing a user from falling from a platform to a track and reducing an installation cost of a platform door. <P>SOLUTION: The manual simple type platform door for a railroad includes: a mechanism for holding a closed state of a platform door 4 at a door closing part of the platform door 4; and lock mechanisms 13 and 16 for locking the platform door 4. When there is no railroad vehicle on a track and when it is not stopped at a prescribed position in an entry/exit line, the platform door 4 is locked. When the vehicle enters the track and is stopped at the prescribed position, the platform door 4 is locked.
