<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper for railway rolling stock, which can effectively suppress vibrations of a vehicle body by exerting a stable thrust even when an oil temperature is low. <P>SOLUTION: The damper 1 for the railway rolling stock includes actuators Af and Ar comprising a piston 3 slidably inserted into a cylinder 2, a rod 4 connected to the piston 3, a rod-side chamber 5 and a piston-side chamber 6, partitioned with the piston 3 in the cylinder 2, a tank 7, a first on-off valve 9 provided midway through a first passage 8 for communicating the rod-side chamber 5 and the piston-side chamber 6 with each other, a second on-off valve 11 provided midway through a second passage 10 for communicating the piston-side chamber 6 and the tank 7 with each other, and a pump 12 rotatively driven at a predetermined normal rotation speed to supply a hydraulic oil to the rod-side chamber 5 from the tank 7. The damper 1 for the railway rolling stock suppresses the vibrations of the vehicle body. The damper 1 for the railway rolling stock, which includes an oil temperature determination means 44c for determining the oil temperature of the hydraulic oil in the actuators Af and Ar, decreases the rotation speed of the pump 12 when the oil temperature determination means 44c determines that the oil temperature of the hydraulic oil is lower than a predetermined oil temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
