<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately learn a full-close position (opening of becoming minimum in an EGR gas flow rate) of an EGR valve, in an engine having an EGR device. <P>SOLUTION: By paying attention to becoming the smallest in a change in the gas temperature in an EGR pipe 29 when the opening of the EGR valve 31 passes through the full-close position, a gas temperature sensor 33 is arranged in the EGR pipe 29, and when a predetermined learning executing condition is satisfied, after reducing the opening of the EGR valve 31 from a predetermined reference position (for example, the full-close position on design or a full-close position learning value of the last time), the opening is increased up to opening larger than the reference position, and the opening of the EGR valve 31 is changed so that the opening of the EGR valve 31 passes through the full-close position. Thus, when changing the opening of the EGR valve 31, the opening of the EGR valve 31 (the opening of the EGR valve 31 of becoming the lowest value in the gas temperature) of becoming minimum in a change in the gas temperature detected by the gas temperature sensor 33, is learnt as the full-close position of the EGR valve 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
