<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a switching device when switching operation is carried out by an erroneous procedure in the switching device having a lock-off mechanism by which an electric motor is started only when a user carries out double-switching operation by a correct procedure in an electric lawn mower. <P>SOLUTION: When a second switch 42 is turned on first in the erroneous procedure, and thereafter a first switch 41 is tried to be turned on, the operation to the on-position is prevented by the contact of a first interference-avoiding part 41b with a second interference-avoiding part 42b.
