摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system which reduces wasteful power consumption due to erroneous human detection. <P>SOLUTION: An arithmetic processing unit 23 includes a human detection part 23a which detects the presence of a person on the basis of image data derived by photographing the illumination range of a lighting apparatus 1 by an image sensor 21 and a region determination part 23b which determines whether the region in a range detected by the human detection part 23a is a human active or a human inactive region and changes, according to the determination result, the method of controlling the human detection part 23a and the method of controlling the lighting apparatus 1 by an illumination control unit 3. If, in an interval after the illumination control unit 3 had turned the lighting apparatus 1 on according to human detection by the human detection part 23a till a prescribed time elapses from when the illumination control unit 3 reduced optical output of the lighting apparatus 1 because the human detection part 23a determined that the detected object is not a person, the human detection part 23a detects a person again near a position at which the detected object was detected, then the region determination part 23b determines the region where the person has been detected again by the human detection part 23a to be an active region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
