CHOLESTERIC LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY MANUFACTURING METHOD

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cholesteric liquid crystal display manufacturing method excellent in manufacturing cost and manufacturing efficiency and capable of reducing weight and thickness.

SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: preparing a liquid crystal composition containing a photoreactive chiral agent represented by the specified general formula (1), where the photoreactive chiral agent is added to the liquid crystal composition such that selective reflection wavelength of the liquid crystal composition is wavelength of blue or shorter; and injecting the liquid crystal composition into a liquid crystal cell and then irradiating ultraviolet via a photomask to form subpixels.
