<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil quantity measuring apparatus capable of properly measuring the quantity of oil stored in an oil pan of a vehicle-mounted internal combustion engine, without reference to the presence or absence of inclination of an oil surface. <P>SOLUTION: The oil quantity measuring apparatus includes: an acceleration sensor 11 which detects the inclination of the oil surface 3a in the oil pan 2; heat transfer members 22 and 27 which each have a predetermined temperature gradient and which are extended out in a direction of a bottom surface 2a of the oil pan 2 from at least temperature sensors 21 or 26 of a plurality of temperature sensors 21 and 26; and an ECU 10 into which a detection value of each of the temperature sensors 21 and 26 and a detection value of the acceleration sensor 11 are each input. The temperature sensors 21 and 26 are disposed in the oil pan 2 in such a manner as to have different distances from the inclination of the oil surface 3a, respectively. The ECU 10 measures the quantity of the oil in the oil pan 2 on the basis of the inclination of the oil surface 3a, which is detected by the acceleration sensor 11, and the height of the oil surface 3a, which is determined from a temperature detected by each of the temperature sensors 21 and 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
