<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel with higher flexibility of a transparent substrate formed of silicon superior in adhesiveness and flexibility, with advantages not just that ITO (indium tin oxide) is replaced but also that a detection electrode can be formed on the transparent substrate without an additional adhesive layer, and a manufacturing method for the touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel 100 has a structure including a transparent substrate 110 formed of silicon and a detection electrode 120 including a metal mesh pattern on one surface of or both surfaces of the transparent substrate 110.
