<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone apparatus which simplifies operation to be performed when a call is made to a party, so that even when the telephone at the called party is switched to an automatic answering mode, the called party is awaken to the call by a repeated re-origination of the call. <P>SOLUTION: A telephone apparatus 10 in the present embodiment comprises timer means of counting a preset prescribed time and a control unit. In the telephone apparatus, the timer means has a first timer count with which to count a time until the called party answers a call after the call was made and a second timer count with which to count a time during which conversation is made with the called party. The control unit works in such a way that when a signal indicating that the receiver has been placed on-hook is detected on the call originating side within a prescribed time after the timer started counting with the second timer count, it reoriginates the call, and repeats call origination until the sum total of call time counted with the first timer count reaches a prescribed time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
