<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a palladium alloy which has hardness suitable for processing not only on the surface but also in the inside, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the palladium alloy includes: a first step of dissolving palladium and boron in a composition ratio of palladium: 94.5-97.6 mass% to boron: 2.4-5.5 mass% by use of a water-cooled crucible to produce a master alloy having a uniform composition; and a second step of mixing at least a predetermined amount of the master alloy produced in the first step with palladium and silicon, followed by dissolving to produce the palladium alloy, the palladium alloy containing 0.04-1.0 mass% in total of boron and silicon, the silicon being at least in the range of 0.01-0.4 mass%, and 99.0 mass% or more of palladium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
