<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of a gasket in which deterioration in the gasket is prevented and durability can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: A mounting structure comprises a gasket 26 which is interposed between joint surfaces 12a, 16a of an inlet pipe 12 and a cylinder head 16. On the joint surface 12a of the inlet pipe 12, a gasket groove 36 is formed which has an annular groove part 38 formed annular to surround an intake passage 18, an extension groove part 40 extending outward from the annular groove part 38, and an escape groove part 32 communicated to the extension groove part 40 and is shut off from external air. The gasket 26 includes a gasket body part 44 fitted to the annular groove part 38, and a protruding part 47 protruding outward from the gasket body part 44 and being fitted to the extension groove part 40. The deformation of the protruding part 47 caused by dwelling of the gasket 26 is escaped to the escape groove part 32 of the gasket groove 36. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
