<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear wheel steering locking device capable of locking rear wheel steering depending on a condition in which a four-wheel steering vehicle is brought into a running state at a constant speed or above. <P>SOLUTION: The rear wheel steering locking device 70 includes a locking member 74 which is provided to be rotatable integrally with a rear wheel 3, and a fitting part 75 which is fixedly arranged near the locking member 74. Since the four-wheel steering vehicle 1 is brought into a high speed running state so that the locking member 74 can be displaced to the radial outside by a centrifugal force to and fitted into the fitting part 75, the steering of the rear wheel 3 is brought into a disabled state. On the other hand, since the four-wheel steering vehicle 1 decreases a speed of advance so that a rotational speed of the rear wheel 3 can also decrease for a decrease in the centrifugal force, the locking member 74 recedes to the radial inside so as not to be fitted into the fitting part 75, and the locking of the steering of the rear wheel 3 is released. Thus, a simple mechanical configuration utilizing the centrifugal force associated with the rotation of the rear wheel 3 enables the steering of the rear wheel 3 to be locked in the high speed running state of the four-wheel steering vehicle 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
