The package (2) has two triangular walls (4, 5) interconnected by two side walls (10, 12) and respectively formed by superimposition of three sets of hinged flaps. The first set of flaps (16a, 16b) is articulated to one of the side walls by a first fold line. The second set of flaps (20a, 20b) is hinged to the other side wall by a second fold line. The third set of flaps is hinged to the first and second sets of flaps by third fold lines. The third set of flaps is positioned between and applied against the first and second sets of flaps when the package is in use. The package is made of a semi-rigid material such as paperboard, flat paperboard, corrugated cardboard or plastic material. An independent claim is also included for a pre-cut and turned semi-rigid material blank for forming a package.
