METHOD FOR PRODUCING LIQUID CRYSTAL POLYESTER

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of liquid crystal polyester is provided to manufacture liquid crystal polyester with high productivity by controlling the bulk density of a pulverized material used in a solid-phase polymerization. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of liquid crystal polyester comprises: a step of manufacturing a prepolymer by melt-polycondensating monomer compounds in a polymerization tank; a step of discharging the prepolymer in a melt state from the polymerization tank, and cooling and solidifying the prepolymer to manufacture a sheet which has 80% or more of a part with a thickness of 1.6-2 mm; a step of crushing the sheet; and a step of solid phase-polymerizing the crushed material by heating.
