RADIAL TYPE NANORODS AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A radial nanorod structure and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase the surface area of nanorods by growing new nanorods from a grown nanorod structure. CONSTITUTION: A radial nanorod structure comprises a substrate(10), first parts(20), and second parts(30). The first part is grown on the substrate from the formed seed. The second part is grown from the seed formed on the first part. The nanorod is a metal oxide, a metal nitride, or a semiconductor. A manufacturing method of the radial nanorod structure comprises the following steps: preparing a substrate; forming a seed for growing the first part on the substrate; growing the first part from the seed; forming the seed for growing the second part on the surface of the first part; and growing the second part from the seed.
