The device (4) has a drive shaft (36) mounted to rotate along a rotational axis (A1), and an articulated element (31) rotated by the drive shaft. A nozzle holder arm (32) is mounted at an end (E1) of the articulated element, and a cleaning nozzle (B) is provided at another end (E2) of the articulated element. The articulated element includes a rotating unit i.e. cylinder (40), for rotating the arm around another rotational axis (A2) perpendicular to the former rotational axis. A control unit (49) i.e. electric, hydraulic and/or pneumatic control unit, controls the arm rotating unit. An independent claim is also included for a pipe cleaning system.
