Use of Bursera graveolensessential oil to prevent and/or treat signs of skin aging, is claimed. An independent claim is included for a cosmetic or dermatological composition comprising the essential oil of Bursera graveolens, and at least antiwrinkle or antiaging agent. ACTIVITY : Dermatological. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Collagen VII synthesis stimulator. The collagen VII stimulating activity of Bursera graveolensessential oil (0.002%) was tested in normal human dermal fibroblasts (NHDF) via RT-PCR. The result showed that Bursera graveolensessential oil stimulated the expression of collagen VII to 199%.
