PURPOSE: An anisotropic conductive adhesive film is provided to sufficiently prevent connection failure when connecting to an electrode in a narrow circuit. CONSTITUTION: An insulating coating-conductive particle comprises a conductive particle(8), and an insulating child particle(6) surrounding the conductive particle. The conductive particle has a metal layer with the average film thickness of 300Åor less which is formed on a nickel layer, as the outermost layer. The composition ratio of nickel and gold(Ni/Au) on the surface of the conductive particle is 0.4 measured by an X-ray photoelectron spectrometry. An anisotropic conductive adhesive film(50) comprises the insulating coating-conductive particle(10), and a film formed of an anisotropic adhesive composition which contains an insulating resin composition.
