The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating aging-associated diseases, containing a progerin expression inhibitor as an active ingredient, a novel compound which inhibits the binding of progerin and lamin A, and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating aging-associated diseases, containing the novel compound as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the pharmaceutical composition inhibits the overexpression of progerin and inhibits the binding of progerin and lamin A, and thus is effective for treating or preventing diseases caused by the overexpression of progerin and the binding of progerin and lamin A, particularly, diseases caused in aged individuals such as kidney cancer, leukemia, prostate cancer, progeria and the like. In addition, it is possible to screen drugs with specificity, for example, a drug promoting the binding of pVHL and progerin or a drug inhibiting the binding of progerin and lamin A using a screening method of a drug for treating aging-associated diseases, and thus it is possible to effectively develop a drug for treating diseases caused in aged individuals such as kidney cancer, leukemia, prostate cancer, progeria and the like.
