<p>A method and system for unlocking and deleting a file or a folder. The method for unlocking the file or the folder comprises: receiving an unlock request for the file or the folder, the unlock request comprising an input parameter; verifying if the input parameter complies with a predetermined condition; if the input parameter complies with the predetermined condition, then, on the basis of a predetermined rule, correcting an abnormal path format of the file or the folder, and/or, a special file name of the file or a special folder name of the folder; determining if a restrictive setting is present in the corrected file or folder; and if yes, then clearing the restrictive setting of the file or the folder. Embodiments of the present invention use various means such as removing read-only lock, removing routine lock, adding permission, and turning off handle to eliminate layer by layer possible protections configured in a virus-infested file, thus improving the capability of security software in combating malicious programs.</p> |
