The method involves obtaining (S10) multiple two dimensional (2D) X-ray image data sets in which a part of an X-ray opaque marker i.e. marking bead, is imaged. A position of an image of the marker in an image surface of an X-ray detector is determined (S12) for each set. Positions of the marker in a three-dimensional (3D) space are determined (S14) from the determined position of the image for two of the sets at different phases. A function describing a movement of an object is determined (S18) based on the determined 3D positions. A representation is provided (S22, S24) using the function.
