PURPOSE: A wire grid polarizer, a manufacturing method thereof, and a liquid crystal display device including the polarizer are provided to improve anti-corrosiveness and scratch resistance generated from a physical limit of a micro pattern of a nano size. CONSTITUTION: A wire grid polarizer includes a plurality of grid patterns(121), a second grid pattern(131), a protective layer(140), and a nano structure(150). The first grid patterns are formed on a transparent substrate(110). The second grid pattern is formed on the top of the first grid patterns. The protective layer has a structure for filling a space between the first gird patterns and the second grid pattern. The nano structure is formed on the protective layer.
