The present invention minimizes photooxidation of a quantum dot fluorescent body. A light-emitting device is provided with a semiconductor light-emitting element (101), and a fluorescent member (130) which fluoresces upon receiving light from the semiconductor light-emitting element (101). The fluorescent member (130) comprises a resin (111) including a plurality of semiconductor particles having differing excitation fluorescence spectra based on particle diameter, and a resin (110) that is impermeable to oxygen. The entire surroundings of the resin (111) are covered by the resin (110).
