The inlet has a shaft (2) joined at an irrigation surface (1) and comprising a discharge opening (21) that is attached at a drain pipe (3). A filter bag (4) made of water-permeable fleece or fabric is suspended in the discharge opening. An elongated belt strap (5) lies at an outer side of the filter bag, and is attached at a region of the discharge opening. The belt strap is sustained or a seam runs at a longitudinal side (41) of the filter bag and below a lower side (42) of the filter bag in a continuous manner. The belt strap forms a loop (51) at an end of the belt strap.
