A refrigeration device, especially a household refrigeration device, comprises at least one storage chamber (3) that can be closed by a door (2), an evaporation pan (9) for evaporating condensed water that is drained off from the storage chamber (3) and an auxiliary device (10, 12) which can be switched on additionally by a control unit (13) to increase the evaporation rate in the evaporation pan (9).
