The invention also relates to a support frame for a sliding door comprising upper and lower support frame members and a support column attachable to the upper and lower support frame members to extend between said upper and lower support frame members. The support column comprises two stud sections that overlap and slide relative to each other so that the distance between the upper and lower support frame members is able to be altered during installation of the support frame by sliding the two stud sections relative to each other. The invention also relates to a support column for a sliding door support frame and a method of assembling a support frame for a sliding door.
