The dishwasher has a washing container for receiving items to be washed. A liquid storage (2) temporarily stores washing liquid e.g. fresh water. A supply opening (8) introduces gas bubbles (10) of treatment gas i.e. ozone. A baffle (13) i.e. textile structure (14), is arranged in the liquid storage above the supply opening, and increases retention time of the gas bubbles in the washing liquid. The baffle is partially formed of a material penetrated by pores (19). Size or diameter of the pores decreases with increasing distance from the supply opening. The baffle is formed from knitted fabric, meshwork and interlaced yarns.
